Now as you look at these, remember that I'm not a bodybuilder and as you can see, can't pose at all. I wanted to show a before and after. In picture 1, I was 210-15. I was strong but very soft. I'm in HCG and clomid therapy right now from my sep-dec cycle. I actually am 199 in Picture 2, a good 10 to 15 lbs lighter but stonger and leaner. In fact, I increased in all areas, most markedly legs and bench press. My deadlift is still lagging. Sorry about the tattoo but hell, hasn't eveyone been to mexico?? I apologize for the poor quality as they were taken by my darling girlfriend with a cell phone. I spend my days working with brains mostly and not bodies. My better half says "no bigger"... I want to continue to increase in strength but keep myself under 200lbs.

What does your doctor look like?

I appreciate. I don't understand how these guys get so cut! I love food. I get so sick of reading labels. You are super-cut! No idea how to get there. Plus I have a soon-to-be wife asking me what kind of mission I'm on. I always have, and still do, lift for strength but the leaner I get, I lose power...

...and you know how I HATE that!

I haven't ever mangaged to get huge and lean. I am always either big and fairly soft or skinny and lean. When I am very lean ...I also sacrifice one hell of a lot of strength. Not that I am in the league of many of the fellas on the board. I guess I mean...strong for me. I've done more powerlifting than bodybuilding. I got tired of being heavy and not looking good...like when you go swimming and some guy who is about 60 pounds lighter than you are gets in the pool and everyone comments on how 'built' the guy is! I try to stay somewhere in the middle ground.

The cool thing I discovered was that dieting periodically....getting lean and losing some strength made it much easier to grow once the diet ends. The strength comes roaring back quickly. Everytime I diet for a few (3) months...being really strict.....I have been able to really put on some
good muscle. Once I drop the cardio, back off on the number of training days and overall sets. The guy I am super impressed with is that Marius Pudzianowski....World's Strongest Man. That guy is big, lean as hell and very, very strong! So I know it can be done. I suspect it's his whole life though and he's probably not pissing around with the low dosages of supplements that you and I take.

Oh, that pic on my avatar was taken in '97 at 234-237lbs. I weighed 290.5 two days ago....and am a fat bastard! lol...but I am deadlifting a lot!

I think that 2nd pic is a good one..chest is looking thick as hell in that shot.

Understand completely...

My girl loves my 'bigness'... she doesn't care if I have a gut. She still doesn't. I don't have one now but she wouldn't care if I did. My poundages are pretty high. When I say high, I mean high for me. I think that I'm stronger than a large part of the population but pale in comparison to some of the iron men here.

545 squat
585 deadlift
415 bench

These are all with good form (i.e. hips below the knee, locked out, and pause at chest, etc.)

So I guess I'll always fall short of both or more positively, be semi-good at both. I have my mind made up though that there will be abs by summer. At least once. I still need my other sports too...
 
good pics, can tell you've added mass to the shoulders, and your chest looks a lot thicker, good job.
