Bodyweight has been floating between 220-225 this week.

I’m going to change one of my high carb days to a medium this coming week, and add in another 30 minute session of cardio, for 5 total per week.

Tonight was my first workout after the deload this past week.

All critiques / posing comments, etc. welcome.

Damn you look mastiff!
You really added a lot to the limbs. It's a lot more aparent now that you're comming more into focus, the quads are gigantor and the calves came up a bit as well.

Looking pretty damn good!

Nice

You look good Shelby. Are you having fun? I get the feeling that this is very serious to you and you pour 100% into this sport.....I hope you have fun doing it and it is not a job......... so to speak.

With every new set of pics (well video in this case) you seem to have added noticeable size. Good work.

Thanks guys. It's fun to be dieting again, and seeing the changes each week / day.

damn man youre going to tear it up!!!!!

i saw the video you posted elsewhere; your "last leg workout of the offseason", and now this. I have a question that may sound dumb, but hopefully you will answer it for me. what is a "deload"? thanks, and you're looking great, man.

Doing great Shelby. You should look impressive as a light heavyweight at that show.

You do use a lot of different dieting techniques, right? What are you doing as of late? Hi-Lo days? Different macronutrient ratios and all that jazz?

Do you think this stuff gives you a major edge as opposed to being more simple about things?

Thanks! I'll do my best :)

Just a week or so of lesser training intensity (less volume, nothing taken to failure, etc.).

Thanks Dave. I'll be cycling my carbohydrates, which is what I've always done since I started competing in 2005. I have high, medium, and low carb days. I don't think it's that complicated, really... but I do think it's the best dieting method :)

I love seeing changes and the structure of contest prep!

Just under 14 weeks out now, and my weight has started to drop this week (been floating between 217 to 221 the past few days).

Still running the same diet and cardio as last week, and I'll continue with that for at least another week or two.

Way to go

Those heavy deadlifts and the brown hat are doing the trick. Lookin like a MONSTER. I'll have to agree with the consensus, you're going to kick some serious ass this year!

Looking very good bro. Looking to be on point at 14 weeks out. Size is great and seperation in quads and back (and a bit in tri's) is more noticable in that one week. Very equal proportions as well.

Two things I would work on for posing. One: Smile EVERY time you are posing. It is lame, but it gets you in the habbit of it and the judges like to see people smiling and being confident. Two: Learn to flex your arms by twisting the hands back vs squeezing as hard as you do. It will still peak the bi, allow you to flex the tri, but it will also allow you to flex without shaking. The judges will notice the shaking. Other than that, you will do VERY well
