Acetate salt format peptide injection

So SWIM's friend will be receiving a custom peptide in acetate salt format soon. He initially planned to cap the peptide salt and swallow it (it is hydrophobic to some extent), but SWIM's friend is now concerned that the peptide will not be able to cross the blood-brain barrier (orally) as much as originally hoped...

Wanting to get maximum effectiveness from the peptide (the cost of synthesis was not cheap), he asks if it would be safe if he was to instead dissolve the solution in saline and then inject said peptide via IM/IV?

Thanks for any advice.

I'm completely new to the peptide scene, sorry... please forgive my ignorance. When you say that they come in acetate form, do you mean acetate as a salt or liquid? if it's a salt, what do you dissolve it into?
SWIM is Bluelight term, never mind.

Someone who isn't me = SWIM

I've seen the acetate version too. I was wondering the difference as a supplier has GHRP-2 and GHRP-2 Acetate listed suggesting that there is a difference.

Would like to know as well :)

Peptides are produced in acetate form to prevent abnormal responses when used in animal or human experiments. In other words it is the most stable form for the peptide to be delivered in.

Acetate salt can be used but most don't because it costs more to produce.

The acetate verion is more stable and is the one used in animal or cell research. The salt version is typicaly used in non animal research.

An acetate is a derivative of Acetic Acid which are salts, esters, and anions found in solution.
Esters are liquids, and are inexpensive and disolve in water.
Acetate esters are ued for all animal and clinical trials because they are more stable. Acetate salts are used mainly in test tube and petri dish experiments where live animals are not used. Hope that helps

I am being to technical. Acetate version is used for research chemicals that are 98% or higher. The salt version is used for less pure formulas. And yes they are the same just as test cyp is the same as test prop just not as strong.
