Take the politics one step further and look at it this way. Our political system has made anyone who takes steroids look like hard core criminals who should have their heads cut off. If I am not mistaken, Vic has a couple AAS related arrests in his past history and was on the list of customers of one of the HRT clinics/pharmacys that went down. If you are the "powers that be"; do you want this person to be the ambassador of your sport right now with all the shit that is going on? If Vic won the Mr. O, the media would have a field day with this one and it would only tear our sport down even further(if it can actually go down any further). Please don't take this the wrong way as I am not knocking Vic in any way. I am just saying that it would be a PR nightmare if Vic actually won based on the misperceptions and lack of knowledge the general public has about the subject of AAS/performance enhancing drugs. I have said many times over the past year or so that Vic has the potential to knock off Ronnie or Jay, but that it will not happen any time soon because of the politics involved and the unwanted heat it would put on the sport.

I was just rereading one of mentzer's books from the 1980's in which he said bodybuilding shows and mags were about selling supplements exclusively, guess he was right even 20 years ago huh !

I think you missed his point about the previous arrests in Vics background, kinda like Johnnie Jackson and his certain videos and pics with 1 particuliar website will always haunt him placings wise IMO. As for Jay he looked blurry and soft from many angles, period. Was I there? Yes, and backstage at prejudging yesterday at one point where i could see many of them up close. Sure he got a lil better, but he was off, he knew, the crowd knew it, every one of his flockin peers knew it. But he is the Golden child right now. Until the powrers that be see it some other way. Branch warren said it best to me "Vic is the best, but Jay will win it."

Complete and total bullshit, especially since Dennis Wolfe looked better than Jay and also since Jay once again came in soft. I'm glad that Romano, Flex and Palumbo even agreed with me this year, saying that Jay came in softer than ever and just wasn't in 100% condition, and yet he was given the Olympia?

Robbery, bullshit, and I am done with it. I'll set my eyes on the Arnold, Shawn's contest and anything else outside of the IFBB besides those two shows. I'm tired of the political bullshit. And I'm glad Ronnie is done with this crap event.

Well said. He is the champ and to beat the champ you have to really beat him. If it is close the champion will always get it. But Jay unlike everyone else got better as the show went on. Also Vic does not present his package that well. His routine was not good plus he did not look confident. It was funny to see them chasing Jay all over the stage. Was Jay scared or just playing them right showing the crowd who is in control. Vic needs to be a little bit harder and work on his presentation. They also want someone to be a great representative of the sport and Jay is very good at that.

I agree with you on the absurd comment that noone else has ever used AAS on the Olympia stage.

But you're off base with the Jay Cutler remarks - he was far from perfect and did not deserve #1. It should have been Victor's victory, with Dexter behind him, Jay, Ronnie, and whomever else you'd like to place.

Jay looked bad - he just was not 100% and that's not a testatment to his greatness that he still one, it means that the judges decided to give him a gift OR Weider knows he's a better spokesperson than a Latino, a German, or another black guy. Let's just put the cards on the table and be honest.
