If your on say pro-biotics(acidophyllus), bromelain and ginger root for an extended period of time, if you all of a sudden stop, will your body have a hard time naturally digesting?
Why would it? Your body releases the same amount of enzymes whether you supplement with extra or not. It cannot sense that you added anything extra.
As for the acidophilus, you usually take it to replenish friendly bacterial growth in the large intestine. Once their levels return to normal, taking anything extra will not do much (however i believe that you should always supplement with probiotics just in case).

I believe I read some studies a while back that showed additives and preservatives from proccessing in foods nowadays causing enzyme levels to deplete more rapidly. This was mainly done in American's diets ( we by far have the HIGHEST levels of additives I am sure) so I am not certain that would tend to agree with not taking enymes esp. when your taking 1.5-2 grams of Protein and carbs x your bodyweight like most BB's natural or juiced....
I will see if I can find this... and post it. After reading this about 6 years ago I started taking Enzymes I increase the dose when prepping for shows.

Taking digestive aids is almost a must for us, i agree, especially on a bulk when you force down 5k+ cals a day. Sometimes our digestive systems just cant deal with such amounts of food. We assist ourself in recovery from training with AAS and peptides, so why not assist ourselves in digesting the massive amounts that we eat?
