Man my eye is fucked. Im in a city with my newborn and went to the hospital. I dont have insurance and they wanted money. Funny thing is health care is supposed to be free here in brazil. They said the hospital is only for private use. So i go to the pharmacy and tell her i want something for conj and she says where is your prescription. But you dont need a script here for antibiotics. She wont indicate one and i get pissed and leave. I go to another pharmacy and she gives me one. After taking it i find out there are many causes and the med i have is for bacteria infections. If i have the one caused by fungus i could be in trouble cause the med has some steroid that will help the fungus grow.

I hope im better by tommow kinda nervous. At these times i become homesick.

Eye Doctor

Do you have access to an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. They should be able to diagnose and treat your eye immediately. Absent the eye Doctor you can also try an over the counter eye rinse (for pink eye here in the US) or use the common saline solution people use for contacts. Good luck!

yeah ive been using eyewash for a week with no avail altough this med seems to be working. Its feeling better since this morning. Im going to my home city here in brazil where I get free healthcare tom. Still homesick for the goodole usa though.

agreed...i had the worst case about a year ago. i let it go for a week and it got really bad i couldn't even open my eyes. finally went to a doc and even with steroids it took 2 weeks to go away. i had to wear sunglasses at all times because my eyes became so sensitive to light...u dont want to let it get to that stage trust me

i dont go into the hospital to see her. Im taking meds now and if it doesnt work by tommorow ill go to hospital. im on my way home now. Im already sensitive to light but lucklily its only in one eye!
