docs not sure whether a hernia or fatty tissue?

i noticed a couple weeks back after a w/o , if i took a deep breath i felt the tenderness above the belly button and to the side, i felt a bump prob little more than a quarter inch out and inch long, and i threw up that night, its gone down since to bout a couple 8ths of an inch out and half inch long, i saw a surgon today which was 2 weeks after i noticed it, he said it's so small thoe hes not sure if its a small hernia or a fatty tissue growth thing, he said its up to me to get a minor surg done and if hernia it would be maybe 1 stich, and if a fatty growth he could remove it, ive read the stich is worthless thoe and screens or only worth it, he said its not big enough for a screen. also the surg would make a little incesion scar so would it even be worth the time for a stich? i think im gona give some time but was wondering some of yalls opinions?

Get a second opinion, if he doesn't know. Sounds like an umbilical hernia.

i was thinking that, also kinda funny to mention the doc felt on my balls with no gloves on and didnt wash his hands afterwards, i could have had some swetty balls and not showered in weeks,

I had the same thing happen to me, umbilical hernia, when I was only 19 yrs old. I left it because they said the same thing that its not a danger and its your choice. By the time I was 36 yrs old it had grown to be 4x as big or more. Over the course of your life it is going to grow bigger. The surgery is going to come down to how long you can bare looking at it as it grows larger each year. It does become unsightly and uncomfortable later on. If it gets big enough it can be dangerous. If I were you I would get it fixed now when is small. the downtime from training is going to be much less and scar minimal. IF you wait to later its going to be a whole lot worse. that pain I had after surgery was really really bad. I ended up having 2 more hernias in my going repaired at the same time. So I had 3 done.
Get it fixed by someone good now. I had mesh on all of mine but they were much larger than yours.

I never got naseated at all, not once. With mine I could push it back in. YOu try that? There is essentially a hole in your abdominal wall and you should be able to push the lining of it(peritoneum) back into the cavity.It should pop back in and then over a few minutes times or less it will protrude back out. If its really small thouhg it may be hard to poke back in. I cant remember how mine felt when it was small because it happened 20 yrs ago.
If you feel like its smaller it just means that its been forced back in. I used to constantly poke mine back in because it felt better. My advice it get it fixed no matter what it is. Fatty tumor etc, get it fixed. if its a fatty growth you should have it tested for cancer to be safe. Play it safe and get it taken care of now before it grows larger. if its a tumor, if its a hernia, it will grow larger. doesnt matter which it is.
