I've been setting up biometrics for some time now. Optical, fingerprint and full facial scan. They are definitely cool. I would imagine you are asking for home use right? If you are I would say this is fine. But if you are using it for work or a corporate situation and you need to protect your data, you would want to go with a fingerprint swipe version instead of a fingerprint pad as it would make it harder for someone to get a copy of your fingerprint. I usually set people up with TouchChip systems but there are a few others. Touchchip systems also come with an encrypted folder/briefcase feature that works much like PGP.
Kaiser, I was thinking of more when I hit the road, and have to check into a few places especially work while on the road. Is your TouchChip good for the road? IF I am at a hotel using my laptop or at a cyber cafe and what not?

Yes it's great for travel, and Like I said it comes with an encryption module like pgp. Dell laptops like the D620 have TouchChip built in. It is also alot smaller than most if you do get the usb non built in version.
