floating goop in my sus vial

I have a vial that i transfered sus form big to little an everything looked good when i finished.Then i didnt use it for 6mnths an all my other vials that i transfered into are good except this one.It has this floating goop in it and i tried shaking it alittle but it stay together, its kept at room temp.I would like to know what happen to it.Can i use a filter an save it?

The "goop" could be a dozen different things if You transferred it(pieces of rubber stopper, particles of anything that may have gotten into it etc.) I personally would chance it

If i were you i would contact your provider and ask them if they have any input on the matter. Otherwise, I personally would at least cook it and/or run it through a whatman. Sorry, but I dont think you should chance it. Rather the opposite.

I check all my husbands vials for "stuff" floating in them. If I see anything at all, I throw it away...I suggest you do to!

I trash everything that looks or smells off.

From Water,Ground Beef,Chicken,Eggs,Smelly slimey rice,Protein

I dont see why it would be any different from Gear,just dispose of it

In fact id be extra cautious when it comes to something youre injecting.

consider this:

evolution (or god) has developed a complex system of allowing substances into ones body - injection not being one of them. stomach acid is meant to kill bacteria. in the event a toxin (something not allive) is detected it may trigger a vomit/diarrhea response. these things are designed to prevent anything harmful from entering the bloodstream. while not 100% successful they do a pretty good job

when injecting something you are bypassing all those systems that were designed to protect you. unless you are 100% sure what you have is completely safe - why chance it?
