Hello.. I don't post much, mostly read, but thought I'd try to get some feedback from y'all. It looks like I might be doing the Junior Nationals next year, which is a big step for me (having only done one show before, at which I qualified for national level comps). I'll probably do another local show about 4 weeks before the Juniors though, just to get some more experience. I plan on competing as a middleweight, and right now I'm about a welterweight, so I've got a lot of work to do. If anyone has any constructive feedback on my physique, please share. These pics were taken yesterday, after training calves and quads. I'm about 190 in these pics, down from 200 a few weeks ago (I dropped a lot of water recently). I'm in a sort of 'cruising / off' stage right now, but still training and eating properly. I plan on ramping things up again in a month or so, and expect to get up around 210-220 by Jan/Feb, when I start the contest prep.

I believe they have a welterwight class up to 165 if you come down to far. Ive noticed most BB that do well in Natl shows are at the top of their wight class. Lookin good and good luck. Just like most of us you need to add some thickness. But condition looks great
 
Yep - they had a welterweight division this year, 154.25 to 165.25 I believe. Thanks for the comments.
 
For sure do another local level show. My advice is for someone to only think of doing a national level show if they have done VERY well(class and or overall). This isn't always the case though but a general rule of thumb. Bring up your limbs and you'll be tough in the welterweights. Conditioning seems good! Welcome here. You look good for real.
 
Thanks for the comments PP. I assume when you say 'limbs' you mean arms? I've got a good 4 months of offseason before I start prepping for shows next year, and bringing up my arms is one of the main goals.
 
You have very good proportions.

From your contest pics, looks like calves and arms could use more size - but they're not "bad." It probably just the way you're holding your arms in that pic of your back - it makes your triceps look nonexistant.

on order of request im gonna be brutally honest with my critique.

in order of weaknesses.

1 = triceps
2 = chest
3 = biceps
4 = back + shoulders
5 = traps

in order of strong points

1 = quads
2 = hams
calves are average.

from the back your triceps are extremely narrow , in your back standing relaxed i wouldnt put your arms flared out and high as much this makes yours triceps seem rather small which they are compared to everything else.

chest and biceps need to be much fuller like your legs are .

Back needs depth + width , the detail looks to be pretty good bro but in a q-turn your prolly wafer thin so you definetly need that thickness and depth.

i like the way your legs look they have good shape and are definetly a strong point for you but a strong point for another 5'6 dude id doubt it , so id say concentrate on upper THICKNESS and train legs for detail and more lines until the upper catches up.

i just read this , xcel is 100% dead on about the triceps , now for the way your holding your hands in the rear and front DB well your gonna need to supinate your hands and wrist to get that peak , to do a more so dragon style wrist and hand placement in a front or rear DB youll need length in the bicep whoch isnt apparent in these pics
