Has anyone ever vacationed to Hawaii? If so any recomendations on where to stay? Would like a nice place on the beach. Thanks.

Thanks iceman i will check that out.

I've been to Hawaii many times. In Honolulu, I stayed at the Hyatt and Hilton hotels which were both very nice. In Kauii, the Prince Hotel is nice but pricey. In Mauii, the best hotel is the Grand Wailaia but also very pricey as well. The nice thing however, about the the Grand Waliaia is that it has a good gym for a hotel gym, with dbs going up to 100 pounds and they have some machines as well.

If you have never been and you like the night life than Maui is the place to go and the Grand Wailea is a full resort and the best place to stay, great golf course, laid back as much as you want.

If you are looking for a place just to kick back and relax on the beach the big Island is fine for that.

If you want seclusion and to just rest then go to Kauai or Lanai. If you want more activities then you need to look at Oahu, Maui or Hawaii aka the Big Island.

On Oahu I would recommend the Hilton Hawaii Village which is on the beach. For Maui I highly recommend the Grand Wailea which is a very unique but pricey hotel which is also located on the beach. For the Big Island the Hilton Waikaloa which has terrific water features and is also on the beach.

I stayed at the Four Seasons in Maui on my honeymoon a couple years ago. Right on the beach. Was very nice. Plus it had a good little workout room.

Stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Mauii about 2 years ago for my wedding anniversary, Great hotel and great location. You could walk to most restaurants and shopping. Great workout gymn and Great pool area!!!!

Stayed at the Ritz in Maui; super super nice. I'll never go back though. The climate is unbearable. No regrets or anything, as I'm glad I went. It was seriously like visiting another planet.

Oahu, Big Island and Maui are all nice. If you have the time I would recommend island hopping. If you were to pick one island, then look at Maui or Oahu, though we also like the Big Island, where else can you see an active volcanoe with lava flowing into the ocean? In Maui, anywhere in Ka'anapali is good, and in Oahu, places like the Outrigger Waikiki are in good locations for a good price. If you are going, shop around, there are many specials going on for hotels right now.

waikiki

if you go definitely check out the diamond head crator, an adventure going to the top and a site to see once you get to the top of the crator, a great activity

i've lived in hawaii for the first 18 years of my life (grew up there, now am in college). for oahu, the hilton and the sheraton waikiki are nice, as is the prince. i personally like kaua'i a lot, very peaceful, very serene, away from everything, nice and relaxing pace of life, plus the environment there is amazing. if you go to the big island, there isn't much in kona or hilo, the two main areas, it would mainly be staying at one of the resorts.

Hey! Thanks fellows i will for sure check all these out.

Bro, the Grand Wailaia is awesome. It's top of the line and very luxurious, not to mention one of my fav restaurants is there. Humuhumunukunukuapai. :p Try saying that 10 ten times fast. Great food and accomadations. I also love to golf on the gold and emerald courses when I get the chance. :D

I was stationed there in the military for a few years and I also went there for my honeymoon a few years ago. I stayed at the Outrigger on the Beach on Oahu for a week. It is not as upscale as some other hotels but is very nice and is an awesome location in the middle of the strip right on Waikiki beach. I also stayed in Maui at the Hyatt and that was very nice. I would stay at either of these hotels if I were to go back.

The Westin on Ka'anapali beach was very nice. and right next to Whalers Village. The Hyatt is nice and it's on the same strip. If your taking a woman then Maui is hard to beat.
