This is just another roll call. We haven't had one in awhile, and I thought I would see how everyone is doing. How many of you are planning to compete this year? Let's hear from the PM ladies. :cool:
 
I check in every day, just not posting as much as I use too :eek:

My training is going great and I hit a PR on the bench tonight after 20 years of no benching due to a chronic shoulder problem. So I am happy with my training. My diet is almost perfect and I am averaging 3400 calories a day (yesterday I ate 4650 cals) and lean out a bit at the same time with no cardio :D

phoenix13, It looks like you've got plenty of time... it just seems to fly by. what's your diet like? Are you bulking or cutting right now? Hope you'll also keep us posted.

AD... that's great about the PR on you bench. I know you must have felt good about it. You eating a lot of cals, and still losing... must be nice!

I try to keep mine off-season around 2500. No more off-seasons bulking for me. It's just too hard to take off the add bf. I know I can't be really lean year round, but I don't want to gain over 8-10 pounds off season.

Everlast & I are finishing moving into our new place. He set the gym up this week, so I'm planning on starting my training and diet next week. The bad part is I have to be in Vegas the next week, so that will be another week wasted. At least after Feb, all I have to concentrate on is my diet and training. I'm planning to compete in June, so I have a lot of weight to loose. :(

Good to hear from you all... :D It seems like we all mostly lurk and let the boys do all the posting.

that's my approach also, except i try to keep it 15-20 over, i find it's easier for me to grow like that. last year was rougher than it had to be (had to drop 40 lbs)...but live and learn. i've been doing a recomposition for the past month and a half so that i can have a more pleasant spring and summer. presently, i'm at 162-165 lbs. with abs, upper body vascularity and some separation in my quads. i am way ahead of the game from last year.

my diet is high protein, mod-low carbs and fats, carbs cycled based on training days. this offseason i incorporated Phil's LBA's into my diet, and i switched to DC training, as well as incorporate carb cut-offs. SMART MOVES!!!

It seems like we all mostly lurk and let the boys do all the posting.

yes, we're stealthy like ninjas. :D i hope you keep us posted on your progress as well.

Just a quick update...

This my third week of training and diet, and I am starting to see my strength coming back. Last week I over did legs and was hurting for days. Thanks to Everlast, my diet has been great! I haven't seen any weight loss, but I have been good with the exception of a couple of glasses of wine over the weekend.

I have the dates for my next show and it's June 14th which puts me 17 weeks out. I've started my diet early this year, so hopefully it won't be very much of a struggle. I'm still worried about my thyroid. I'll go in two weeks and have it check. The more research I do the more I'm convinced that is part of my weight problem right now.

Sounds like things are coming along nicely. Our shows are 1 week apart...we can "enjoy" May together.

Lynx, I dieted all last year and didn't loose a pound. Now granted I wasn't strict like a pre-contest diet, but I should have leaned out and drop some weight. I was wanted to do it for our wedding. I even went on AAS cutting cycle for 8 wks before our wedding, and still didn't loss any. That's why I don't want to post pics right now. I'm a bloated cow... :(

Then there is the hair loss, tired/fatigued feeling, cold all the time, mild muscle cramps & aches, depressed, irritable, memory loss, decreased libido, but some of this could be stress related. The main thing is that my hair has totally changed... I use to have very thick, but fine straight hair. Now it's thin, coarse and curly. My mom asked what I had done to my hair, and I told her nothing. I haven't done any perms... just color that's it. Then she told me after she turned 40 that she started having thyroid problems. It runs in our family... her sisters (2), my grandmother & my mom.

So I wait until payday, and then I can go to the doc-in-a-box for a blood test... hopefully they can get me straightened out.

Thanks girls! I figured I would get them out of the way early because I'm getting married in July. Plus I wanna be photo shoot ready by then ;) I have some photos up on the fit by design thread, page six. I def am in need of some sunlight tho! lol. Hope you all stay healthy this flu has been a nasty one!
