Even if feds have your IP they have to prove that you were typing that shit at that particular time and not your neighbour that hooked up to your unprotected wifi. What matters is that people should always keep physical eveidance to the minimum.

Good Idea is to use a proxy server to mask IP.

But, as I said a few times if they are after you they are going to get you. (that is coming from a freind who works for feds) The only thing to do is to minimuze the damage= less $ to your lawer and easier for him to get you out or get a better deal

They would have to subpoena the IP's which would mean the board admin would be aware and the likelyhood of a tipoff would be extremely high. They have different ways of investigating. Gathering IP's in hope's that it is even the correct one, is not one of them. Out of all the busts in my 15 years on the boards, An IP trace has never been involved. (yes, i've read any public affidavit for SW when they are avaiable).

We are low on the totem pole, even when talking about the internet. They might track people on a drug discussion forum, but they will not do so on here. At least anyone saying, I'm running 600mg of test..etc. They have pedophilia, clandestine drug production, research companies to deal with. Some kids have died as a result.

Another thing I find hilarious is when guys put those disclaimers in their signature, about how they are fictitious characters and everything that they write is for entertainment purposes only,lol!
If the law wants you, they will get you. In the past I had several decent sized packages of "DVDs" seized by customs and they only thing I got was a letter. Now it is true ignorance to be posting up the fact that you just placed an order and details of it, and I dont understand the reason for doing so. Heck, there was one UK board owner, youd think hed know better, that posted up pictures of the packages he received. He was bragging on how well they did it. How stupid can you get. The sender was a very well known powder supplier in CHina too. That idiot put us all at risk. So there is a fine line you have to follow.

Have you heard of the "PATRIOT ACT"? The feds may enter your house or even tap your phone now without a warrant. If they can do that, they can get your IP addy without a warrant.

It has to do with investigating persons suspected of terrorism-related acts. Good luck in court trying to convict a steroid user on an internet board and getting his IP address based of the patriot act. lol @ that.

Maybe the DEA can just start tapping all our phones, searching all our houses and tracking down all our IP"s based on the Patriot act. Give me a break.

Anyways they told her that they knew they were for me (T.O.M) and knew where my mother lived, where I lived (baja) and my wife's name and not to except anymore pkg's or they would arrest her. I never heard anymore about it nor did I receive any mail from them at my PO Box in San Diego.

Look i think you missed the point. If you are using, you are either buying or selling period and this is wht they are looking for. Buyers so they can figure out who's selling and sellers so they can pop them This is what they will get you for, not talking about using steroids on the internet. You must believe your constitutional rights protect you from everything. WRONG
