"IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Hidetada Yamagishi was formally charged today in Los Angeles Superior Court with nine counts of steroid possession and distribution including five counts of "possession or purchase of controlled substance;" one count of "transport of controlled substance into state for sale;" and three counts of "possession of a prescription drug without a prescription." His next court date will be on January 23, 2007. He will remain incarcerated at North County Correctional Facility until then under U.S. immigration hold on $180,000 bail.........."

He be in big trouble.

man, that just sucks. BUT, i think it goes without saying (and people have already said it in other threads) YOU CANNOT TRAVEL ON AIRLINES W/ GEAR or anything illegal for that matter i still can't wrap my mind around what he was thinking.....

So what exactly does those charges mean in terms of what he may have been carrying?

1 charge of transport = got caught at the airport
3 counts of possession without a script = 3 compounds?
5 charges of possesion/distribution = 5 packages, 5 vials, 5 bottles, 5 suitcases full?

If there is anything to this story I don't it matters now. Since steroids are such a hot topic in the media these days I think they will stick with those charges more. He could have gotten caught with a pound of cocain and it wouldn't be as bad as steroids are right now.

Sounds like he slipped up plain and simple.

We all know its political, thats easy. But I think we might even be overlooking the fact that he is an immigrant at this point in our country.
Remember it is an election year. This may sound far fetched (yet not really when you endulge in the aspect) but with so much focus on immigration issues and this being an election year... I really think this has something do with it.

No not an illegal but not a citizen either. So any time a foreigner gets caught immigration will get involved. it will be on matters of border crossing and deportation. But his ass is not going anywhere at the moment. The feds want a piece first!! Just plain stupid!!!

Not exactly sure on that. if he does time here he will be deported the minute he is released. it really depends on the drugs he was carrying. All we know is controlled substance, prescription meds w/o a script and such. if he has a good lawyer he will get charged, convicted and deported. never to return to the USA will be on file with immigration. One thing for sure, they are going to take some reasonable dollars of of him no matter what happens!!!

This is prolly dumb of me to post cause i read it someplce else......Did he have powders with inm cause another board stated he had a narcotic drug on him. Could this have been misrepresented for powders?
