Recently many guys have taken a liking to using carbohydrates with protein during and after their training. The notion is that somehow this makes a significant benefit to your progress in what form? I dont know. This is geared towards people who are NOT using insulin in conjunction with their intra and post shakes. I think this is something that is stressed way too much now and has no SIGNIFICANT benefit. I am and always will be an advocate of calories in calories out, that does not mean I condone eating whatever you like but, what im trying to say is if you are consuming 200g protein 400g carbs 100g fats it means very very little how you consume that daily in terms of body composition, recovery and health. I actually do like supplementing with carbohydrates around training because when you have to consume high amounts of carbohydrates due to your macro nutrient numbers Im all for drinking a good 100-200 grams of those in the span of 3-4 hours, Its efficient! The video below touches on this subject and the science behind it.
