Kidney and Liver cysts

I had an MRI of my back.

In the Radiologist’s comments for incidental findings he put “renal and hepatic cysts”.

Blood work is fine from a few weeks back.

Any reason to be concerned? Probably not.

Signal foci are seen within the liver.. Given their degree of 2 hyperintensity most likely represent cysts or hemangioma in the absence known malignancy. Signal foci are also seen within the kidneys which are most consistent with renal cysts

Thanks

Yup. I’m too paranoid to just not do a follow up. Dang it.

Thanks you both

Pelvic CT or MRI will rule out any further concern. Might be a pain in the ass, but knowledge is power in this situation. Err on the safe side, rather than leave it only to later find out it was more serious

many people have cysts on the liver or kidneys, in 90% of cases they are completely harmless
Yes, I have seen it on many ultrasounds and MRIs done by various bodybuilders and athletes that I help and collaborate with, almost all of them have benign angiomas, in my opinion they are due to the use of AAS which are not perfectly sterile, and those "heavy metals" or in any case unfiltered product waste is metabolised by the liver and kidneys, creating this damage (as long as they are benign it is fine, but unfortunately I have also seen actual tumors over time), I don't know if it is linked to the use of GH IGF1 which has amplified the problem

but I'm not talking about bodybuilders, I'm talking about ordinary people - a lot of average people have hemangiomas of the liver and kidneys, especially women - maybe it is also related to the issue of higher estrogen
