Looking for some developer help??

Well I have a site I am putting together for a friend I am rather new to this whole thing.

I already have created a layout of the page with flash that looks pretty sweet to me and I now am trying if possible to integrate a backdoor store I guess you could say. I am planning on using oscommerce for the store but I am not to sure I know what the hell I am doing with it either. When I get to the database import page with it I always get a damn error. So if anyone has any better ideas of a simple shopping cart that is free that does alot of the things oscommerce does let me know. I will be working the next few days on this so if you got any help to give let me know.

Ok sorry I am a retard as it seems and on the server I am using they have their own installation method.

Still if you know anything about web design I am sure I could use some help in some area in the next few days and would appreciate it greatly.

The error is most likely because you either didn’t set the configuration of osCommerce right (for the database), or the database (or its permissions) wasn’t set up right.
You can try **broken link removed** instead, it’s a little easier…but to be honest, setting up an online store, even with these free tools, is not for someone that doesn’t know anything about programming or databases. This error is a very basic one, you can expect bigger problems (such as integration with payment, merchant and shipping accounts).

I got it all up and running now just need to finish a few customizations to the layout and all will be finished. I enjoy learning new things is the main reason I am doing it and it may be a way to increase income in the future in a bind. Thanks for the advice as I understand it is not a simple plug and play set up. I have however done all the configurations and integrated everything I needed so far. I was just looking for someone to talk about development of pages and look at some of there past projects.
