It's sarcastic American humor vs. dry English wit. Superbad isn't funny to an english audience. The flipside to that is that most American's think Mr. Bean is the dumbest shit ever.
The best combining of the England/US is the movie "Snatch". English actors combined with sarcasm so thick you'd need a silkwood shower to rinse it off. Seriously funny flik, B.Pitts best film along with Vinnie Jones and J. Statham and a host of others.
