DOES ANYBODY USE ONE OF THESE DEVICES WHILE WORKING OUT AND IF SO COULD YOU PLEASE RECCOMEND A CERTAIN BRAND OR MODEL ? THANKS FELLAS...

Ipod nano, or ipod shuffle, they are small and easy to hide in your pocket. Do not take anything expensive in the gym. 2 reasons. 1- if you loose it you'll be bitching later, and 2- if you drop it and it breaks that's a lot of money your out of.

Also any MP3 player will do. If all you want to do is hear some tunes then Walmart and Kmart any place really carries some for as little as 20.00. You can get a 250mg or for 40.00 you can get a 512mg. They are so cheap these days. Don't stress the name brand, because they all pretty much do the same thing.

I love my I-Pod Shuffle. The thing is small, clips on anywhere, and lasts 12-14 hrs on one charge. So I charge this thing like 2 times a month when i add or change the music. It's held up to the sweat and bumps for over a year now too.

Im leaning towards the creative zen 4gb multimedia player or a sony 4 gb.. both are sleek and top of the line..

Eman, make sure whatever you get comes with an arm band or some sort of neck strap and it's rugged enough for a gym. Because I can almost gaurentee you, you will be smacking it against everything. haha good luck bro!

I got a COBY mp3 player for free it's got a gig of memory.....so far i've got about 100 songs and it's only half full

Yeah but some of the rugged mp3's look corney but i do understand that they will get banged around alot... Im goin fancy on this one Boom.

I like the players by Sandisk, I have a Sansa when I train, its the competitor for the previous generation nano. I think Apple still makes superior products, but if you use it primarily to train I would buy some type of warranty with it to protect your self.

Bro, this is how I feel about DAP's(digital audio players). Apple is so fucking over rated their shit is garbage, but will work for the average joe. Im an audiofile to the fullest not to mention use to DJ and Produce electronic music. I use a IAUDIO X5 by Cowan. Its is one of the most versitle DAP's on the market.

My main concern was the my computer recognizes it as a hard drive and you do not need propietary software (itunes) to drag and drop or copy files over. Reason being is I like to catogorize my music the way I want to and not the way the program wants you to.I usually listen to DJ live sets and most of them are and hour or more so I don't have multiple track like the normal user. The sound quality is SICK on this player. It even has a fully adjustable EQ on it and is the FIRST player ever to have BBE SOUND PROCESSING in the unit. BBE is an amazing Sound Maximizer used in PRO Audio Studios to make the sound much more warm, live and full. Bro I don't know how much your looking to spend, but if you got $300 to shell out for the 60gb player you definitely will NOT regret it!

I have to agree with Baseline on this one. Ipods have mid level audio quality and the software tells you what to do more than you tell it what to do. Great for someone who doesn't know what their doing, but if you like to customize and have full control over your files, it will drive you crazy. Go with the Cowan if you want total control and absolute sound quality. Slap some Bose earbuds in with it and you'll be that much happier. I do use an IPOD Shuffle for training much of the time because of its durability and compactness but the stock ear buds blow. Spend a nother hundred bucks and get the Bose earbuds for the shuffle if you go that route. They will block out the gym noise.

I have a Philips 2 gig and I like it. The only downside is its a flash player which sucks sometimes as the damn thing gets stuck. Good for the value though at about 100 bucks and great sound quality.
