My new girls.

I lost my 3.5 year old GDS to serious ilness 3 weeks ago and was cut up pretty bad. I really like the breed.

So at the start of last week I went to get a new pup. When I was picking a pup I noticed two 9 month old shepards that were been kept for breeding and noticed they had not been treated very well, just kept to make a clown more money. So I could not leave without them, they did not even have names. Have never been on a leed and very nervous. They would not even play with the toys I got them. A week later they are getting more playfull, a few months and I will have the the way the breed is to be treated. They are only young so still have time to make them right.

First off I am really sorry that you lost the big boy. I know he was sick before and you brought him back and I also know how much you loved him. I am glad that you were able to add the 2 girls and give them a much happier and better life. It is know secret my love for the GSD and I have 2 GSD girls as well. Like you I was only going to get one but I couldn't seperate the sisters. My girls came from champion bloodlines but they both had imperfections. One of them has "soft ears" and the other is a little undersized and nervous. I was afraid no one would give them a good home because of there imperfections. They have been great members of the family and their loyalty and intelligence is 2nd to none. The only thing to look out for is they are females and they do get bitchy with each other. If one shows dominance over the other then some of the problem will be solved, however if they are equal they will compete for your affection and get very protective especially with kids. No big deal just treat them equally, show no favoritism, and if they start to protect you or the kids against each other just correct right away.

They are 2 beautiful girls BB, I love the coloring, and I know they will give you years of enjoyment.

They are beautiful..happy to hear you got them....I was not for us getting ours for a long time..and wasnt sure even after we got them, since they were puppies and we are all busy with our own schedules, and I was worried about my dream home being destroyed, but they are now part of our house hold.. ....very sweet and smart....and if trained, they do listen.

funny, they know who is in charge and who let's them get away with anything...won't mention any names, lol.

Now, this selfless act. I must be filled with estrogen ...because I am embarrassed to say I got a little teary reading the initial post.

Anyway...those are good looking dogs! Meredith wants a German Sheppard too.

Thats awesome BB. I knew you were pretty tore up ove Nytro, but there are so many dogs that need a good home. Im glad to see you did something like this. I have a feeling they will be great and loyal dogs to you and your family.

What a wonderful thing to do Big B. I'm sorry to hear about your dog Nytro. I had to have one of my bulldogs put down Friday so I know your pain! I know these new additions will bring you a lot of joy!!

They were begging to go, took one with me the first night and was driving a two seater convertable and my friend was with me. Fun

The first week they thought it was a competition to see who stayed. Both have settled in nicley. Will not show one affection without the other.

My daughter picked there names. Angle and Star there father is called Diamond. Every house should have a GSD, I would keep more if I had space.

I seen you GSDs they are awesome. Nytro cam from a championship blood line and he really was part of the family. I think because we were both so tired from opening the gym and me competiting. Michelle giving birth to Jessica we feel that we let him down because we were so busy. Now we have a chanch to make it up to him, by giving my girls a good life. I picked up allot of info when Nytro was sick. I am even on a GSD dog fourm.

Loyal thats why I love the breed. It was LATS that told me you will have other dogs. They will not be another Nytro. No dog ever will, but you can provide a good home or somthing. Well it got me thinking.

Thank you, its amazeing how we gets attached to our pets. Then there is clowns that abuse these beautifull animanls. Evil is what I would call it. The girls are getting more condifinent by the day.

Star is still a bit nervous, but Angle has already started guarding the house. She started as soon as I got here home, if she hears anything she lets you know. Still cant get coller on star, she is very nervous.

just give her time im sure she will come around. god knows why shes so is so nervous about a collar.. have you tried a harness? that doesnt go around her neck and might be easier for her to get used to.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss...I am experiencing a bit as well...my mom called this morning and they had a vet come to their house today (she and my stepdad live in pennsylvania and i live in arizona) to put down Conan, our 8 year old longhaired german shephard. he had been diagnosed with cancerous nasal tumors about a month ago and this weekend he got way worse

I do have my Harley (old english bulldog) here and i know what it's like to feel that unconditional love! pure bliss!
SO, I was very happy to read your post and see that you rescued those gorgeous girls! It's so great of you to open your home to 2 pups that really are in need...they will love you forever!
