New England Compounding Center Meningitis Outbreak

Are any of you concerned about the quality of your gear from your compounding pharmacy in the wake of a nationwide Meningitis outbreak from the administration of compounded steroids? How about those of you who prefer "underground" sources which are not regulated by the FDA? Does the FDA provide a false sense of security against the possibility contamination of prescription drugs? Opinions, views, criticism?

I am surprised none replied must not be high on agenda...That's some scary shit I will think compounding pharmacies a little higher than UGL as far as sanitary practice

It sure does seem that way, smarino. Safety and sanitation does not seem to be much of a priority, or these guys don't want to face the reality of the risk involved with using injectable U.G. "meds".

It has been on the news every day since the first outbreak and no one is concerned? Weird.

And, I agree with you in regard to compounding pharmacies. One would think that they are held to strict standards for producing prescription meds. Now that this meningitis problem has come up, compounding pharmacies might be a new pet project for the FDA. This extra attention may make it more difficult for us to get compounded meds.

Damn! Does that mean we will have to resort to U.G.?

Hey Buck, just got around to reading your links. I kind of ingnored this thread sine no one was responding. That article about J an J is an eye opener. I guess we are putting our safety in someone elses hands no matter what. Scarry.
