New PUPPY!

So after our cat decided it likes to pee all over our house including on the bed, we had to take her to the pound unfortunately. Since then we have been without a companion. Today we bought a pitbull

her name is Honey and she is 6weeks old.

She will be eating top of teh line dog food with chicken and dragging 45lb plates around the neighborhood in a few months. her mother was jacked! ran a lot. I plan on making honey jacked too. maybe a photoshoot together haha

ya know i am just shocked how smart this puppy is. we are using the training mats for her to go pee...she uses it without guidance! then after eating, she let us know she had to go number 2 outside. wow. this is the first dog i have raised by myself. when i was young the family had dogs but i never raised it myself from a puppy but right now i could not be more happier!!

MY PITT WAS THE SAME.. SHE WAS POTTY TRAINED WITHIN A WEEK.. SHE NEVER HAD A ACCIDENT AFTER THAT.. AND THAT WAS 2 YEARS AGO..

best dogs there are ... my pit peed on the floor the first day we got her, i smacked her in the head, put her outside ... a year later and she hasnt had 1 accident ...

Pits are good dogs. If she is going to be a muscle girl you should look into letting her pull when she gets old enough. Those competitions are a good ass time!

update on puppy,

honey is getting big. she plays a good game of tug of war. still does not communicate when she has to use the potty but does not pee on floor unless left alone for hours. shes unfortunately losing her puppy breathe. i was once disgusted by it but now i miss it. she bites. and it hurts. trying to teach her not to bite but i think that is an oxymoron. besides that all is well

any pitt owners i would like to hear from you about tips for issues and some heads up warnings. thanks!

best dogs you can own.. heck, mine does not even bark at perfect strangers when they come into the house announced..

just make sure they are socialized with other dogs.. mine is not the least bit agressive but, she loves other dogs way too much lol.. she just wants to play all the time..

you got her very early.. most pitt breeders wont let them go until they are 8-10 weeks from what i have seen.. it will be next to impossible for a while for her to communicate her needs at that age.. give her a couple of months.. just make sure you put her out as often as possible to do her business.. she will ge the hang of it.. walk her to the door and let her out that way so she is used to the walk to the door and associates that with going "potty".. next thing ya know she will be standing next to the door when she has to go..

Hey Smooth...Lats gave good advice...I agree, we have a 1 1/2 year old red nose girl who we rescued back in May and we just got a white and black spotted pitty puppy, he is now 16 weeks old. We potty trained him by literally taking him out every hour during the day and every 3 hours when we went to bed. It probably took about 10 days of this before he got it.
Your pup will eventually get the idea. The key is repetition. And as far as pitbulls are concerned they are truly the best dogs Imo. We just lost one to cancer back in March he was only 4 1/2 years old and a big baby. Now, like I said we have 2 others and they are both great. Just be sure to socialize your new pup with everybody, and especially other dogs if possible. Good luck with him he looks great.

we have been doing exactly that. constantly taking her out. she is doing well but if we start slacking she reminds us fast. lol. she is great so far. we love her. has a bit of seperation anxiety tho. i guess we are just that full of love

Nice puppy bro, but did you got her with six weeks? very young!
I cant wait till i get mine, but first she must been born

so it could take some more months.
