Oh brother............you do realize the Braves finished the season 18 games under 500% and 20 games back of the Phils in the division this past year. Not to mention they traded away RBI machine Mark Teixeira, and Chipper Jones (as good as he is) is often injured and isn't getting any younger. The Phils, Mets, and Marlins are all younger, faster, and hit better top to bottom. Braves will finish in 4th in the NL East again next year.

Tampa definately layed an egg against us. They are young, incredibly fast, and hit for power and average. Their starting rotation is very good and I think Shields who is their oldest starter is only 26. I would not be surprised to see them as a bigtime player in the AL for the foreseeable future.

They will have most of them back at some point next year(Smoltz, Glavine, Hudson) as well as they have $40-$50 million to spend in the offseason on free agency. They also have some incredible farm prospects that will start to emerge by mid-season and over the next couple of years. I know you think I am just making excuses, but watch out for the Braves over the next few seasons, they have the making of another dynasty.

Hey bro, I grew up on the east coast and my parents had a timeshare in Brigantine; used to spend a couple weeks there every summer until my father passed away 3 years ago. My dad was from Upper Darby and was a die hard Phillies fan; beyond obsessive, lol. Thats probably why I don't care for them so much, just got burnt out on them while growing up.

I guess only time will tell............I actually have no problem with the Braves. Phils did go 14-4 against them this year.
