So I am revisiting a belief I have held for awhile due to reading tons of conflicting things. So I always thought that if you combined a carb, even say a sugar, with protein and fats that its digestions or insulin spiking effects would be slowed down. For example: a shake consisting of 12oz pineapple juice, 2 scoops of protein, and a tablespoon of EVOO or whatever fat. Is that shake BAD because of all the sugars in the pineapple juice? or is it OK considering it is combined with healthy fats and protein?
