Sciatica pain. Limited motion

I had it down my left rear for years, I later ended up with a pinched nerve and after an MRI I was told I had spinal stenosis and they wanted to fuse 2 lower levels of my spine, spine doc said it was pretty bad. At the time I was in so much pain, on all sorts of opiods and they did not help. I decided to go to a back center where they did chiropractics, massage, decompression. After about a month, I was able to walk again and my sciatica has never come back. I still have a spine that looks like a question mark but I am not in the severe pain anymore. I swear it was the decompression table that stretched me out.

Any help or advice on relieving Sciatica pain i would really appreciate.

Right before leaving to Florida on vacation i got sciatica. Dr. prescribed me Prednisone , which helped a little but as soon as i arrived to FL i started getting really bad spasms in my left butt cheek. Cant walk more than 10 feet. Its so painful and cramps .
I went to urgent care and got prescribed 1500 of Robaxin. Which so far does nothing to help spasms. I am here for a week and cant to anything. can't leave the room.
At least i have a ocean view room..

Prednisone usually does it for me. How long you take it for? Might need to do a couple weeks. Docs tend to not prescribe it for very long.

A simple way to differentiate between piriformis issues and sciatica is to lay down and turn the foot of the leg that is hurting out and then lift that leg up off of whatever youre laying on, so that your leg becomes perpendicular to your torso. Then rest the leg. This time, turn the foot in and lift the same. If its piriformis, it will hurt more than when turned in.
True sciatic pain often is a result of a disfunctuon or misalignment in your SI joint. Getting adjustment can help to free the impingement, and rolling your glute muscle on a tennis or lacrosse ball can help to relieve the area of impingement between the gluteal muscles.
Returning your pelvis to proper body mechanics, range of motion, and function is the long term answer, the meds and stretching will target the immediate symptoms
