My recipe for mackerol and or salmon patties....Im a genious (hope noone else ever made these like this before..hahaha i sure never heard of it!) Just tried to think about what i could substitute the crackers you would normally use when making these and left out the yolks, and used non stick spray instead of oil to fry em up. (Thats the stuff you would normally use when making these things) Not me though here you go!
2 cans of Salmon or Mackerol
1 cup of quick 1 minute "quaker oats" oatmeal
4 egg whites
All natural Non stick Pam cooking spray 100% olive oil
Mash up the salmon, egg whites, and oatmeal form them into patties. Spray the pan with the PAM cooking spray, brown the patties in skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes on each i cover the skillet with lid. (keep eye on them ofcourse everyone stoves different) Use additional spray when flipping so they dont burn of course.
Its fast healthy and great source of protein and good carbs....If you are sick of Tuna this is definately the best recipe i have had with this amount of protein. Taste great & cant even tell there oatmeal in them. Makes about 7-8 patties.
I could eat these every single day all day. I throw some tobasco sauce on em for some more flavor.
This recipe contains approximately 29g of protein & 8g of good Carbs per pattie! Now thats what im talking about, and not to mention the fiber it has from the oatmeal. Give it a whirl you wont be dissapointed i promise....
Oh shit i forgot to mention the cost of this is dirt cheap as well. Shit $.99 for dozen large eggs, $1-2 per can of mackerol, $2-4 per can of salmon depending on your preference of kind. A few dollars for the tub of oatmeal. You cant beat this trust me its a great way to get your protein cost effectively through real foods.
