Just wanted to post some pics of the wife and my daughter...I have been alot of time with them these past couple of weeks...Sarah and I have gone out to dinner togehter this past week a couple of times...to some nicer restuarts to eat at...(and not worry about what we eat...LOL) Its been kinda nice not to think about what your eating, or when your next meal is...ect, ect...the break is good...Im messing the gym alot, and im down somewhat..but I try not to show it to the girls, as they worry to much anyway...Honestly I dont know what im going to do, once my heart comes back (if it does, I hope) Nothing is set in stone with me, and Im just taking each day as they come...May 5th I go back to the heart doctor and see where we are at...Wish me luck...

Isnt it crazy how this is so true? I mean, I can tell you 1000s of things I had no clue about because I only cared about my body........there is ANOTHER WORLD out there. You know your friend are in the same boat you were in when yo uask them what they are doing today..as in, what are you doing?? They say back, legs......or back and biceps........woa, hahahahahahahha..............Or, how you doin today? They respond back, a little sore, gained 2 pounds, look much fuller...........WOW........crazy

I am glad you are taking care of your health.

Nothing else matters without that. Truthfully the "sport" is really a "show". I get a kick out of it actually. In the end when we all stand and face our creator [as I believe we will] and give an explanation for our deeds, will we say? "I thought it was a good idea to damage my health so I could be pretty on stage". I hope not. lol.

My hope is that everyone on Promuscle opens this thread and gains some perspective to how precious those around us are and just how beautiful life is. It certainly has for me. Thanks for the photos, Chris, you have a great life.

Youre family is beautiful. Grace is going to be a real heart stopper!Youll need to stay healthy in order to chase off all the guys.

Once you heal up the best you can, you will be able to resume training. You wont have to throw it all away. What you will have to do is change your expectations of what you are going to look like. Once your body adjusts to a new equilibirium, it gets a lot easier to deal with. the hard part is right now when you feel like you can see yourself shrinking daily. That will get better over time.

I think you know that if you go back to your old ways, even if its to a much lesser extent, you will risk further damage to your heart.

Make sure you get your HRT set up ASAP. Not having that done and suffering from low testosterone makes it REALLY HARD. I went through that for about 7 months and almost felt suicidial at times. Try to avoid having below normal test levels because that makes everything that much harder.

Agreed with what everyone said... I think, if you decide to, your outlook on life in so many ways can/will be vastly different... and not just momentarily during this crisis period. I won't get on my soapbox, but I will say that everyone has a choice in their outlook on life... to see all things you have compared to so little of the "have not's" in your life... to see what true wealth is- a family that is so enraptured with each other. I'm sure you will make the right choice friend.

I ran into a friend from school I hadn't seen in a long time. I went up and said hi and "So, what'cha up to nowadays?" "Oh, I don't know, I haven't really benched for awhile." hahaha "Um, no, like, how's life going?"
