starting HRT - questions for the doc

My doc has recently started me on HRT to try to get my test levels up to normal. Tried patches before switching to injections. Currently has me on 200mg/wk of test cyp. 7 days after injection, my test levels are 326 (slightly low). From reading this forum, it sounds like my test levels should be great at that dosage.

The problem is that I feel like crap still. :banghead: The doc hasn't tested estrogen levels yet. What should I ask him to check next time?

How long have you been doing 200 a week? There are all kinds of factors as to why the same amount of test puts guys in different ranges. However based on the half life of cyp alone I would expect this number to be a little higher. If you have been on this for at least 6 weeks and are still symptomatic, IMO a full panel is in order. How old are you?

I'm 42, been on the 200mg/wk dosage for 4 weeks now.

The only other bloodwork was a "lipid panel" that came back normal.

Sounds like your shbg is very low. More frequent injections would probably help you.
