I have a VPN on my PC and one on my tablet but when i open maps it still shows where my real location is.. is there a VPN that even makes your computer think its in the location that the VPN is connecting to?

Do you have set it up right ? And who is the VPN company. Cause it seems the DNS is leaking.

got the app i was using to work but i think maps uses the GPS sensor on the phone.. tried several vpns

Spoofing your GPS location is completely different than your IP address. Google maps, apple maps, waze, etc. do not utilize cellular data to track location - they go off traditional triangulation modalities from standardized cellular signal. Big reason why you can travel abroad and have shitty service and your GPS will still work.

What are you using to track location?
