I completely agree he DOES look like a classic bodybuilder, but classic physique isn’t truly judged that way. It’s open but with emphasis on structure.

Vissers is more classic a la Arnold, than any of the other top guys are.

Classic category: Good intention, poor execution.

I have always said this, classic is not judged classic and the IFBB is too afraid to move off of Cbum. They pigeonholed themselves with their criteria. Vissers is far more classic than Dino and Urs and dare I say Cbum. Cbum is just a more streamlined-looking open guy. I think Terrance, Vissers and Mike, and hell even Sadik more closely embody what the original intent was. They have the Arnold, Zane, Reeves, Paris look. It is a specific genetic structure, and that does not equate to just a small(er) bodybuilder.

Breon and Danny Hester have phenomenal physiques, but they just look like small(er) open guys

Training to failure straight up doesn't work in the long haul... training that way only ever made me smaller, weaker, and more injured.

Vissers is FANTASTIC! A standout to me in the Classic Div.

It works, it just doesn’t work for YOU. I personally don’t know anyone who got weaker and smaller training that way.

I don't believe it works for longevity either. Key word: LONGEVITY. There is definitely a point of diminishing returns. There has to be. If not, there would be tons of 70 year old bodybuilders still training to failure every day, getting bigger and stronger every year, never getting injured, never losing their muscle bellies, etc etc..

Longevity in weight lifting/bodybuilding via training to failure always?? Doesn't seem to be a good solution if you plan on training until the end of life. My opinion after 30 years of training... unless you are genetically cut out for that particular way. Even then, there are ZERO good examples of that today (in elderly fitness)
