Last Wed we found this little girl we named her Roxy. She was malnourished and very sick. She only weighed 5 lbs. Her ribs and hip bones were sticking out. It was sad. My daughter found her and called and ask if we could come do something for her...keep her or take her to the Human Society. We took her to the vet and had her wormed and got her 1st shots and we decided to keep her. We think she may be a pit bull or at least have some in her. We have fattened her up in one week she doubled her weight and is doing great and now starting to look like a healthy puppy. We asked the vet and even he said she was to skinny to tell what she was at that time. He guessed at the time she was atleast 8 weeks old. We can't wait to take her back so he can see how well she has done. Just wondering what you all think?

very cute dog stump. its great what did for her! and definitely has some terrier in her.

Its markings look a bit Boxer except for her muzzle (snout)

could be a little bit pit , remember all pits aren't stocky and big headed.

PS. congrats on the cute dog and kudos for saving her life.

That's awesome what you guys did! Has a little boxer in it for sure.

trust me.. 100% pitt.. i have two now.. she is cute as hell.. great ears and face.. she will be a beautiful dog

What type of Pit?

Lats, can you tell what kind of pit she might be, I was thinking the American pit, they have the longer snout and body.

YES.. SHE LOOKS LIKE THE STANDARD.. SHE WILL BE A GOOD LOOKING DOG..

Very cute dog Stump. Love the markings around the nose.

Wow, good looking pup. Whatever it is, congrats. We got our pitty/amstaff from a local rescue. Here's what you can probably expect when your pup matures:

BW, good looking dog, love the 1st picture.

Hiya Stump, thanks for the comments. I should have added that you can expect a lot of this, also LOL. Our boy loves my mother in law, as you can see.

Stump - You should be proud

You have a big bump from me for saving a wonderful dog, and making your daughter happy while teaching her a lesson of compassion.

Call it a boxer mix, many home owner insurers will cancel your policy if you have a pit bull. I speak from experience - Pit bulls are absolutely fantastic dogs and family pets, but don't lose your home owners insurance. I've had big mush pit bulls and rotweilers (and muts, pugs and cats) but I never admitted to having a pure bred. Your friendly insurance company will "F" you in a heart beat.

I hope you're enjoying the new addition to your family! Good job!!

+1

Good info, I used to sell homeowners insurance, they don't like bully breeds...I just tell everyone we have a boxer mix...he's even registered under his state dog license as a boxer mix.
