Who has experienced a high hamstring tear?

I tore my hamstring up high at the ischial tuberosity 6 weeks ago. I still can barely walk and the first stage of rehab exercises ( glute bridges, 5 minutes of walking, and isometric hamstring curls) increases my pain. It also hurts to sit. I found out the hard way that foam rolling and stretching is the worse thing to do. My pain started after doing the standing leg curl machine. I felt it tear. Two weeks later it popped really loud when leaning over to pick something up. I go see an orthopedic next week. I’m sure they will do an MRI. Anyone have experience with high hamstring tears? The cramping pain is very painful. The surgery for this type of injury looks brutal.

I had one. It sucked. I used TB500 and BPC157. Not sure if it did anything.
I should’ve seen a Dr. I can be a dumbass at times. Just some slight bruising lol.
It was brutal though and still not right

Can you do leg curls without experiencing pain? Does it still hurt when you walk long distances or upstairs?

I tore my right hammy years ago. Never went to the MD for it. From my research it was low to mod grade tear. The back of my leg was purple for several weeks. Could not do much and lower body movements were out of the question. It took me close to 3 months to really fully heal.

I would be icing the area a lot. Especially if you do any type of therapy to it. Seeing an ortho and getting MRI is not a bad idea. Physical therapy and time can do a lot if its a partial tear.

It’s never been the same and it’s been 3 years this May. Cramps on occasion over almonds nothing. Stiff leg dead lifts don’t bother it too bad. There’s still a knot/bump up high and probably always will be.

Yes both legs at separate times running 40yd dash in college. Long recovery and don’t push it too early like I did and re-injure it.
Never could run at full speed again without occasionally feeling it pulling. Did lots of heavy squats and deadlifts for years afterwards with no issue.

Yup. Bled all the way down into my f*cking calf. BPC & TB and I was back to training in 2 weeks and getting close to 100% after 8

Mine Was Terrible. Dr said worst he ever seen. Tore half the Hammy right off the Ass.
I was lifting a woman out of the water and my right leg slipped.
Shot me clear into the Air and into a backwards summersault...
Dr said 3 surgerys and a Year off... Opted out as he agraid i would probablt tear it again
Internal bleeding was Crazy!!! All down my leg, up into my abdomen back into my other leg including my Scrotum and Penis.
All turned black...Besides the Head of my Dick" perfectly White !!
Wifey loved the Swelling 3 days Later...
Back to work 3 weeks later having the guys help put my boots on..
Pain lasted yrs if pushing to hard on it but Carried On...

I had similar bleeding when I had my heart cath done during my heart attack. Whole leg was black down to my knee and my penis too. Like you, the head wasn't as dark. It was swelled up real big!
