It is crunch time for nationals and i like to get creative with my food, anything to pretend im eating like a king.

I like to pour my powder in the oats then add hot water and cook. Does anyone else do this? I let it cook a while and it ends up tasting like chocholate bread. Yumm

lol...Sounds like a good plan.

Whatever you are doing, it's working! Good job. I always microwaved the oatmeal with a little exta water so it was moist enough to stir in the protein powder. I'll give your method a shot.

I mixed protein with my oats years ago with the old twinlab protein fuel vanilla flavor. Very delicious.

i run my uncooked oatmeal thru a food processor then add it to my vanilla protein shake with some flax oil...

I do 50-60g oats and 50-60g whey protein for my first and last meal each day.

Great meal!

I micro my oatmeal first, then add a little more water, and then mix with protein. Adding water cools it down a bit, I do this so the heat doesnt effect the protein (dont know if it would anyway!)

I used mix my whey in with oats and water then microwave. When I did that I used to use IDS whey. Then I switched to Isopure and tried it in the same order and I created some frick'n science experiment. LOL. It turned out like a brick! No joke. Try heating Isopure up in the microwave with the oats and see what happens. It's crzy. So, back to cooking oats then putting in the the powder after. lol. and def no Isopure. Nasty shit

musclemilk

HI I thought that was the only way to have oatmeal vanilla musclemilk is great even in OJ in a blender so long for now YOUR FRIEND IN IRON DYNOMAN

Im so non functional in the mornings that the only thing i can do is throw in a cup of raw oatmeal into my protein shake, blend and drink...60sec. breakfast

2 scooops of whey
1 banana
1/4 cup of oats
2 tsb peanut butter
6oz of water or milk
2 oz of sugar free strawberry preserve (liquid)

tastes just like a banan split and about 100g of protein

I've been putting protein powder in my oatmeal for years.

met-rx has an apple pie tasting protein powder that tastes amazing with oatmeal

3 meals a day of mine are rolled oats and protein shake mixed...can't beat it!

TWEAKED IT...

heres a recipe for "muffins".
Get the carton of liquid egg whites and beat it in the mixer until peaks form like a merange pie. this binds everthing else up.
Get the protein ready and mixed to a liquid and poured on oats to form a stiff "batter". Not too much liquid and use the old fashioned oats if you like that bigger chewier texture.
Fold in layers with the egg whites and try not to bust up the fluff too much with the oats and protein.
Then spray butter flavor PAM on a cookie sheet and drop big spoonfuls and leave 'em lumpy... bake in oven at 350 until browned on top.
Use a thin spatula and scrape em off to cool.
You can add and take away however you like with cooked or puffed rice or oats and whatever else you want.
Sometimes I use non fat cheese crumbles and bits of browned beef.
I eat this for breakfast with splenda and cinnamon.

The trick is to have the egg white fluff be sitting there on the cookiesheet with the other stuff stuck in it when the baking "sets" the whole thing
This makes something like a bread/muffin and while dieting this could be a help to you.
