Amino acid lesson

High quality of collagen and rapid/complete full absorption??

Sure......but of all the amino acids, both essential and non essential, those 4 are the highest producers of nitrogen in the body......all proteins are not created equal.

yes

Protein sources

I say use synthepure.......syntheblend....pepto pro......use those for meals..........use thisi for betweeen meals for nitrogen retention......use it for what it is supposed to be used for......not to replace all protein.

For nitrogen retention comparison

Just for nitrogen retention purposes only......Better........not necessarily, you would need both of these products.......they each have their place.

Per 100grams protein

Nitrogen Producing amino acid concentrations

LBA / Whey isolate
glycine 26.90 - 1.70

proline 14.80 - 5.90

hrdroxyproline 14.0 - <.1

arginine 8.55 - 2.4

glutamic acid 11.10 - 17.6

doesnt collagen...and therefore collagen based proteins have a bio-availability of zero?

Something

Some scientific info you may find interesting regarding the quality of collagen based protein...

NPU is net protein utilization. Its a ratio of amino acids converted to protein to a ratio of supplied amino acids.

Whole Eggs and Milk have a value of 1 NPU...(the highest food NPU value is 1)
LBAs exceed the amino acid content of whole eggs and milk.........
With 100g of protein supplied by LBAs, the amino acid requirement for adults is exceeded by 4 times......... higher than whole eggs and milk........

It contains all amino acids both essential and non essential with the exception of tryptophan........

Don't all hydrolyzed proteins contain MSG? What are your thought on this?

Am I on candid camera? Thats my thought, ahhahhahahah.......explain that please.

Well I was looking at sources of MSG to try to avoid it. I discovered its in a lot of sources like calcium caseinate and anything protein which is hydrolyzed. Was wondering if you thought it was something to be concerned about. Can you get LBAs which are not hydrolyzed?

Well

I try to stay away from MSG also......it gives me a headache.......but I do not see the correlation here........oh yes you can get LBAs with beef powder extract....not hydrolyzed collagen.

What do an abundance of these 4 amino acids signify in a protein source? glycine, arginine, proline, and hydroxyproline

What about BCAA's? The most important aminos for muscle recovery/regeneration?

Why is Leucine so important?

What dose of Leucine do LBA's have, compared to Whey Iso?

Bioavailability gauges the extent to which an administered substance reaches its site of action or utilization in the body. Bioavailability is thus a measure of the efficiency of delivery - how much of what is ingested is actually used for its intended purpose.

give me a minute on the collagen information....

I believe Leucine will help metabolize or stimulate synthesis of protein quicker in between meals (just a thought). But, I will Phil take this one because he has better insight on this topic than I do.
