How essential would you guys say that the type of protein you consume effects actual growth?
Being a college student and low budget bodybuilder, I have come up with awesome ways thus far for getting my macros and calories in.
My diet is actually very dairy based throughout the day, and I tend to limit the amount of meats I eat to later in the day, post workout. Yes, a lot having to do with cost. I have an unlimited free supply of all natural farm raised chicken eggs, dozens a week, at my disposal. I go through about 2 gallons of whole milk a week, along with 2 pounds of whey a week.
I supplement a fair amount of tuna during mid day, and occasionally will have good cuts of meat midday for lunch that was from the night before. I go through about 2-3 tubs of greek yogurt for snacking, as well. So as uou can see, I have a heavy dairy based diet, with the exception of dinner time and post workout where I eat my cuts of meat.
I seem to digest and process dairy very well, and dont bloat from it at all. As long as Im hitting 250-300g of protein this way, which I am consistently everyday, is there any real reason that you cant put on big growth without pounds of meat?
