Mac is the way to go. As mentioned if a windows app is needed then run windows in a Virtual Machine. VirtualBox by Sun is free. OSX is based on BSD which is a stable operating system. Seldom do I reboot my Mac. (Months between a reboot) Can run native OS X and virtual Linux and Windows at the same time. Not to mention BSD\Linux is a bit-heads dream. =)
You can get A LOT more pc for the money.
I've owned many PC's. Usually build them myself. I had a macbook pro for 3 years. While the MBP did me right for a good long time there's just no way to justify the price/performance ratio on a mac when you can find such a better deal on a PC. Especially when you're a gamer.
Who would want to be caught dead at Starbucks with anything other than a Macbook?!
i had to choose between an Apple computer desktop and a sony vaio desktop with touch screen...hard choice but I decided to stay with a PC over an Apple becuase i know I can, as a computer technician, repair any issues with it....I know nothing about Apple/Mac products.
