i deal with major depression daily, if in fact this was suicide i can relate to what he must have been feeling mentally...having a chemcical emballance and pair that wtih everyday stresses can be very overwhelming. i am sorry for his lost and condolences to his family

Please Read- I guess I can post this now since everyone else had started posted about it. Unfortunately I learned today that we have lost Luke Sandoe. Luke was a great guy. And so much more than just a bodybuilder. Luke was a great friend . Without going into too much detail I talked to Luke when I was going through a tough time, he was one of the first people to ask me what was going on. If you swipe left you’ll see one of the things he said to me. (He was always there if I ever needed someone to talk to)
Luke was obviously going through a tough time. I just wish he would’ve talked to me about it. Last time I saw Luke was in Boca in November, I wish I would’ve gotten to see him at the Arnold this year but that was cancelled. You never know what someone is going through or what they are dealing with. Luke will be missed. And I hope the world remembers him for his personality who he was, not just that he was a bodybuilder. #lukesandoe

Truly heartbreaking news as he was a MASSIVE star in bodybuilding at the moment.
I refuse to believe it is suicide though. He seemed like a truly ambitious dude who had goals of being Mr. O....

Sad no matter what the cause is. The BBing world is going to be shocked by this, especially the UK BBing community which has really come on strong the past 5 or so years. JP, Fouad, James, etc must be taking this hard.

Hard to imagine the death of a young bodybuilder not being caused by abuse of PEDs

I can tell you my life began at 30. Way to early for anyone to die. I feel sad for the family. RIP big guy.

I hate to see this. Condolences to his family, friends, and fans.

One of my biggest issues with competitive bodybuilding over the last 5-10 years has been the age of top pros - most are 35-40-years-old. There were very few young guys at the top, and that, combined with classic physique, has seen less young guys pursuing bodybuilding.

We finally got young guys at the top the last few years, but now they're leaving - Dallas McCarver passing away, now Sandoe's passing, and Josh Lenartowicz announcing his retirement this week.

It just sucks all the way around.

Josh made the best decision, however he can still compete just need to get his health back in track and come back smaller.

Totally agree.

I always want these guys to make the best decision for themselves, and in Lenartowicz's case with having a wife and baby, his health issues over the last year, the deaths around him that derailed his progress - it is the best decision.

It's just the selfish part of me that wants to see the guys I look up to - young pro bodybuilders round my age - keep competing.

I dont know what to believe...i got a person very close to the situation saying "S" by "I" (i dont want to say the words unless its verified) and another saying not suicide but health issue which is worse for the sport of bodybuilding if a 30 year old guy (among a slew of others) has died

Either way he nearly died in that show last year he had a video about it, sounds like he was taking extreme risks to get lean/dry.

Luke committed suicide tonight ... anyway, in a moment they will definitely report it in the media as the official cause of death, info I have first hand from friend Luke, rest in peace iron brother .....

Ah, usually not affected by these things but felt like I got punched in the gut reading that... Been following luke for a while now, could relate to him on alot of things, if its suicide pretty shocking, seemed like he wss in high spirits during his podcasts with fouad just a few days ago...

I know he mentioned several times on interviews/podcasts that his bloodwork was great and didnt abuse big doses but who knows...either way it's terrible but the self harm seems the most likelly
