Hi pm friends:)
I need advice about my legs and my back.
Still thinking that my legs are big for my upper body.Me and lucian decided not do train them for the next 8-10 weeks.I am doing now 1h.cardio(75-85 MHR) in the morning and 30-45 min(65-75MHR) night time.
How can I burn my legs"s muscles????????
It will be my first time so I do not have any idea?

Annie, I am not questioning Lucians training of you, but I do not agree with not training your legs for the time you are getting ready for our show. Try extreme high rep leg work.......30-50 reps per set. Walking lunges and high reps leg extensions and curls. You need to stimulate the leg muscles to help with metabolism and calorie burning. Cardio alone will not do the job!
 
Why in the hell do you want to "burn your leg muscles", Annie? :eek: Or any muscle for that matter :confused: Our goal in this sport is to BUILD, not to destroy lean mass!!!

Focus on your lagging bodyparts to make them match the level of muscularity of your legs, but don't try to downsize them by doing hours of cardio :eek:

As Oldfella said, it would only lead to a decrease of metabolism, hence less fat burnt.

You have good legs when it's a weak point for most competitors... let them be your strong bodypart :)

First let me say you look amazing as is. But as Phil said, women carry alot of their fat in their legs, as the prep goes on and you start to drop fat...Your legs will shrink in size.

Even so having an over devolped set of wheels beats the hell out of an under devolped set.
 
Your legs are carrying to much fat. You need to get them leaner......lose about 20 pounds from this angle.

This is the answer. Women carry most of their fat in their lower bodies, and thats why your legs seem too big for your upper body. Once you trim down more your legs will "shrink". Keep training them hard I say.
For example, I just trimmed down from bulking up and lost 25 pounds. I lost a little over 1 inch off my arms, but they are just as strong as before and look much better.
 
annie, even lucian should know this.......serious leg training requires a lot of calories. So hit the legs and you will burn more cals, hence lose more Body fat. Once the fat goes from your legs you guys will find out that not training them was a bad decision. You are neglecting HALF of your body by not training them. Cardio alone will not do!
 
If anything, I would say to two some low rep heavy training (singles or doubles) just to maintain your mass but still allow you to burn extra energy. Heavy squats and heavy deadlifts are the way to go.

About loosing 20 pounds-will be hard.I am now 109 pounds,5.2 tall and 9% body fat.If I lose 20 pounds-houuuuuuuuuu....I will be 90 pounds.
I will try......

Answer still lies in losing bodyfat, how much will be hard to tell. At your weight, somewhere between 5 and 10 lbs might be the answer. If you are truly 9% bodyfat, then you have a little under 10lbs of fat on you now. I might question the accuracy of your measurement. How was it taken?
 
I like your legs but you may not be in show condition yet that doesn't mean your not in better shape than most of society. You need to just continue lifting, eating healthy,and everything will come together nicely.

you wont lose 20 pounds, you will exchange muscle for fat.

yes i had her stop doing legs. it doesnt matter what she does, high low reps, heavy light her legs grow. so she stopped and we brouoght up her ypper body for a few weeks. it worked. now she is doing legs again but not heavy. you cant loose all the muscle in 3 weeks!!!! now we are going to begin a new nutrition program as she has a hard time digesting many foods we have in america, and a new 24 hr metabolism boosting system i used for my last show that worked great. no fear she WILL be in top shape.....i promise. ive been trianing w her for 9 months now and know her body well.

dont forget we have 10 weeks....plenty of time. everyones entitled to their opinion but you kow im not gonna bullshit you.....you can do it!!!!
we just gotta get the food choices. supplements will play a big role as you seem to be able to digest them just fine. when an NPC judge, and chairman,and fellow compeditor(rich) says you will be fine i think you should listen. keep the new style chin ups and your upper body will widen to match the lower real soon.

it was done on a scale by electro impeidience. not too reliable. she is very lean though. her xmass tree is sick!!! she does lot of water. you can feel it under the skin. its not fat. but also the new look the judges want in figure all year this year is a softer, curvier, more femminine look. not hard and quads sepperated all the way to the hip flexors!!!! this is the type of physique she has, strong, lean and very femminine still. overall very "fit" looking.

i tought about this.but after giving it sone tought and who it is for......
the heavy singles and doubles will only lead to injury while getting ready for a show. being so depleted she will not recover, not to mention the pounding the joints and tendons take. plus all the cardio....you have seen her train, and eat, theres no way she can recover from those type of workouts till offseason.

getting lean is all about 24 hr calorie expenditure, not just what you do in the gym. i see people doing legs for 2 hr and all kindsa squats presses lunges but look like crap all the time. what you do in the gym is only 2 hr. you still have 22 hr outside that are even more important than the workouts. yates hardly trained before his last olympia because of injuries. but he came in shape cuz of diet and cardio. i appreciate the advice but just doing or ot doing legs are going to make a huge difference condition wise in her. she is at an advanced level with and incredible work capacity. but it was only for 3 weeks to allow her upper body to catch up. branch warren did it, and he did just fine, as many have. for a year i didnt train arms cuz they were not in proportion. its all about the long term.
