I took these pics yesterday out of boredom just to show you how a typical weekend is down here... thursday is the equivalent of saturday (that's our weekend here)... this is the day before eid

my wife went to her friends house in the morning... so i woke up and had a nutritious breakfast with luffers da tinese doggy...



then i told luffers that he's gonna have to gaurd the house and kill anyone that tries to steal my foreman grill... to which he replied
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"


went out and the weather was nice



decided to drive down to my parents house and see what's going on there (usually to get some free food )

on the way, there's this skateboard ramp... usually crowded with kids trying to break their bones... their most impressive skill is the "watch me tumble down to a painful fall and call an ambulence" move... right there behind the traffic light


here's a little park where people just sit around and let their kids throw trash around the pond

my dad is a professor at the university (one of the toughest schools in the world, let me tell you... i studied in the university of kansas, and at LSU, then i studied here... the ones in the state are a walk in the park!!!), the university provides good housing for real cheap to the faculty, and now i'm on my way there... these are the student dorms



they're under renovation right now, so it's a mess!!! almost got hit by a truck on the way there... fucking morons



on the way, you can see the RI building


crappy ass "desert" design...

and my dad's office is right over there...


there have been many student assassination attempts on his life ... he's one tough cookie... only teaches graduate classes and the class average is usually an F!!! LOL... poor schmucks...

on the way down to the faculty housing, you can see the community center... they have some good facilities... tennis and squash courts... gyms... recreation rooms and shit like that...

then little coleman shows up busting out and front single bicep to clear out the schmoes!!! (LOL!... my younger brother... although we don't look alike now, when i was his age, i looked EXACTLY like him)

I was still hungry, so i decided to go down to Sa'ad addeen... a famous franchise with lots of middle eastern sweets...


fucking fat asses finished all the good stuff!!!!! DAMN IT!!


atleast they got plenty of gelatos!!!YUM!!!


got my fair share of food and went down to see what the guys were up to...
on the way there, you can see the ittifag club. this is the official club i'm registered with to compete nationally.

the sun is starting to set early these days... around 4:45 pm


In my country, it's hard to invite a lot of guys over and just chill out. we don't have a lot of facilities or places to go to (except for gahwas, which i will talk about in another thread )... so what people usually do is... good friends get together and rent a singles only apartment... we call it a dewaniya.. that way, we have a place to chill, and the rent would be peanuts when you have 15 people paying for it.

so, i arrived at the dewaniya and found my friend aziz... he's of somalian origin and was furious about me taking the picture!!!



came down to me and said "IDIOT|!!!| TAKING A PICTURE OF A SOMALIAN PIRATE IS PUNISHABLE BY DEATH!!! NOW HAND ME YOUR DOUBLOONS!!!"


now it's time for the goodies... i got some kunafa (kind of like a heavy cream filled pie) and a cookie gelato


when i was done, i found some chocolate fudge stuffies!!!! NOM NOM NOM

as you can see... we can get really thirsty some times



whatever you do... don't buy this crap!!!! we only have it for emergency infidel attacks... incase we are stranded here for months, one shake would have enough calories to sustain life for 17 years


this is "the big room" entertainment system


we have a computer hooked up to the tv, and we loaded it with movies and shows and crap and we have this ubontu crap or whatever installed on it... i don't know what the deal is, i just turn it on and watch crap


the guy who really knows what's going on is GUGU ZE ULTIMATE!!!! my bestest of best buddies

This is a sheesha... i think some of you might know it as a hookah... you put flavored tobacco in it (no, not weed ) and it beats the shit outta cigarettes


here's the official buselmo cheer horn!!! this guy is a huge sports fan, loves every sport, never plays any sport, and is as loud as fuck... i bring him with me to contest to cheer and you can hear him from fucking tokyo!!!.... hawkmoon, do you ever hear a squeeky sound in the air sometimes in the AM for no reason? yeah, it's probably this guy cheering in saudi!!! LOL!!!


and this is what we do when the guys are all here... split teams, two rooms, and kill each other in halo!!!




got hungry again... and it's time for some shawarma and falafil!!!!! MMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMMMMM

here's what's inside a shawarma... you have some pieces of chicken, mayonnaise with garlic, pickles, and fries.


in a falafil you basically have... you guessed it... falafil


when we get bored late at night and still have energy... we just play cherades


and the losing team goes and gets us..... ICE CREAM!!!




then i fell into a diabetic coma and went to bed

today was the first day of eid... and i had to wear my thobe (the traditional saudi dress)... and now i know i gained some muscle, cuz the damn thing was as tight as hell!!! ... i need to go to a tailor and make a new one.
