Hello Emeric, that kind of information is always good to read, but the study you posted was done using Aminolevulinic Acid and not Alpha Lipoic Acid which is what is being discussed here.

To much Alpha lipoic acid can lower the level of vitamin B1.

I have horrific heartburn with ALA if I don't eat something first. Then midway before finishing my meal down a few caps. Then top it off with the rest of my meal.

If I have it without something on my stomach and without topping it off with food then it's heartburn city.

You must use Na-R-ALA over regular ALA. Regular has dog shit bioavailability. One of the few hills I will die on
