Alright I have read all the abscess posts (twice) and the info has been great. I developed an abscess 1 1/2 weeks ago in my left tricep. I finaly decided to see my DOc last Sat(a week ago). He drained it on Sat and Mon. Put me on three diff antibiotics, and gave me a shot of rocephin. I also drained it a few more times since. As of 2 days ago all I pulled out was thick bruised blood(quite diff from the yellow putrid stuff that came out initially).
Its still swollen and aches. could the infection be gone but it still be this sore and swollen. All the yellow stuff has been gone since about last Tues/Wed. I dont want to poke myself anymore because I know thats just keeping it angry.
In other words in anyones experience, does the pain and selling last a while, even after the infection is gone??
BTW I get my HRT from a doc so its all clean and from the pharm. So this shouldnt have happen, except my doc said some of the test could have got trapped and didnt disperse, thus sitting there and finally festered.
