Any advice on curing my virus?

It all started when I noticed if I used any search windows they would immediately be filled up by tons of zeros. I could not delete them I could not remove them they just kept coming back. I was running AVG virus protection and it picked up some viruses that I acquired through limewire. It would not allow me to delete the songs individually so I had to delete my lime wire folder and all my music in my Yahoo player. I cannot use search because it will not allow meat type in the virus. This is what I came up with on my Virus Scan synthetek_com(17htm) also html/framer. I'm presently trying some other virus protection products to see if it will possibly pick it up.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Bro, they have all kind of viruses out there and alot of antivirus and spyware won't remove it. I had to take my comutor into a computor geek, that fixed it right away.

Without knowing what virus you have.. its pretty hard to recommend how to fix it.

start with going to:

see what it says/fix what you can.

you could also download and run:

HijackThis

but PLEASE PLEASE do not try and debug the output. either post it here, or goto one of the online forum sites that will identify the virus shit.

Let me tell you no matter how many virus scans you run after your infected it is very difficult to know if its all out. osri is the way to go imo.

as a professional what i would do is purchase a professional mcafee 85i enterprise virusscan and spyware plugin. Id unplug that machine from the internet and boot it into safe mode. Pop in the mcafee cd (if the purchase was a download, burn it) and install it. Run a full system scan after that while still in safe mode. After you reboot normally, run a full system scan again.
I dont know what operating system you have, but if you have xp or earlier, you can kill a lot of crap out of your registry that boots when you load up your pc.

click start, run, type in regedit
(Click the + to expand)
Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Expand SOFTWARE
Expand MICROSOFT
Expand WINDOWS
Expand CURRENT VERSION

Click on the key RUN on the left window pane.
On the right window pan, this is everything in the registry that is being started when you start up your machine. You probably have a ton of shit in there. A windows machine will start with pretty much nothing in there. Thats where a lot of your spyware things will load from.


If none of this made sense to you, dont do it, take it to someone who knows how. This is why when you take it to someone who knows how, they are able to fix it within no time at all. In fact i was able to type this entire thing from memory so if anything is slightly off thats why.
