This is so damn unfair. I always warm up and do everything correct, but no, I had to get fuked over and get injured. About 2.5weeks ago im warming up with lat pulldowns. As I pulldown im fine, but on the way back up I feel something weird in my right shoulder. Felt that way throughout the whole workout. I had to limit it and go light. It feels like a front delt injury. Right were the front delt meets the trap. That whole area feels dull and bruised. Any pulling excersise feels fine when pulling it towards my body, but when it going back up the pain hurts. Its gotten worse and worse. I couldnt do one chest excrsise today. Back is limited as well. Cant do close grip bench either. For some reason I can do shoulders just fine though. Anyway what is this injury. It almost feels collar bone related or something. When using one had to drive and turing it hurts like hell unless I put pressure on it. I need this shit to heel fast. I don't have time for this. What can I do? Up the HGH? Ice it? Add some deca? Thanks

Its a soft tissue injury/strain. Take care of it accordingly. Ice first off...and maybe some ibuprofen or Alieve.

Also:
1. chiropractor or
2. massage therapist or
3. Active release technique or
4. Rest

All true. I would also see your Dr. and ask for a script for K.I.C.K. It is an anti inflamatory topical gel. I had the same injury and the stuff works wonders when used along with Main's suggestions.

when you talk about soft tissue injuries it can be almost anything. After taking some time off I would do some simple isometric exercises to see what aggravates it. If continues I would go to your ortho for some advise. Could be simple as a strain as bad as a tear.
Good Luck

Might, just might be the long head of the bicep. This attaches at the very top of the glenoid fossa on the scapula, and can often feel like an anterior delt problem. When yuo do pulldowns, the anterior head of the delt stretches as the bar comes down, and goes through conrtolled lengthening as the bar goes back up. The bicep, however, does just the opposite. THis, of course, depends on the grip yuo're using, etc.

Agree completely that yuo should have this checked by a qualified practitioner! But, as they're checking, yuo might mention this and see what they think.

Hope yuo're better soon!

Its always best to have a doctor look at it.

Treatment that helped me far better than any medication with injuries like this :

- locate the pain spot
- put an icecube in a towel and make circles on the sore sopt until the
cold starts to feel uncomfortable
- then take a hairblower and warm the sore spot up
- alternate the cooling and warming

3 ice cubes per session 3 to 4 sessions per day

tendons and origo's and insertions of muscles have worse blood supply vasoconstriction will stimulate the bloodflow in these places so nutrients can reach them better to heal and waiste products are released to the bloodstream more easy.

Beware the quick fix. Listen to your body or risk an even bigger setback.

Bro, I had the seemingly same pain, I could not drive with that arm nor could I lift anything over my head. The doctor said it was a derranged clavical. I hurt mine Incline benching on a smith. Dont know if it's what you have but a cheap xray can tell or not. If it is muscular or a tendon prob you may need a MRI.
Good luck.

I had something like that but it was in the rhomboid area. Used a cycle of growth and deca with T. Eventually it worked itself out. I now have a bruised left hand due to horsing around. Now I tape that before lifting. I might add that you need to have a good sleep mattress too when you have a back injury and maintain good posture while sleeping and while sitting. I sit all day and sit on the edge of the seat to avoid back problems. Working on laptops can do it too as it pins the shoulder blades out.

If you have good insurance, push for them to give a Contrast MRI(they inject dye). A torn labrum will rarely show on a standard MRI. Might as well find out right from the get go. In the meantime I would continue to train, very very lightly though, def. stretch to keep your range of motion.

You might try a PT. I go to one that is into BB and he has really helped with a number of issues. If he can't help, he can at least send you in the right direction.
