Anyone try glucomannan?

I am dieting right now and I have read that if you take 3-4 grams before a meal it will make you feel fuller longer. I can't find any negative side effects to it other then don't take it with your post workout meal. Has anyone ever tried this or would it be bad for a bodybuilder to take?
 
I've used it. Helps a little. No negatives at all.
 
How much of it did you take? I think I might just start with 3 grams of it before a meal.
 
I took about 3 grams before meals.. maybe once or twice a day. During contest prep, so nothing helped too much.. lol
 
Lol yea I'm always hungry when cutting. Have you tried hoodia? I added it to my ECA stack and it suppressed my hunger for a few hours actually. I was impressed
 
Yeah, didn't do much. 1,3DMAA did quite a bit to be honest. I think around 60mg suppressed it pretty nicely.

How much hoodia did you take? I took 2000mg and it definitely worked. I used it again today.

As for the 1,3DMAA I agree with you on that. I haven't taken it alone but I bought a tub of jack3d and 1 scoop of that combined with 50mg ephedrine and I was good for a few hours on energy and hunger suppression. I plan on ordering some 1,3DMAA in bulk.

Also I tried the glucomannan today. I took about 3 grams of it with 2-3 cups of water. I wanted to wait 20 minutes before eating but I had to eat right away due to time constraints at work. It actually seemed to work descent for me. I felt pretty full for about 2 hours. That may not seem like a lot but it's better then nothing. I didn't need to take my ECA stack when I usually do and I was able to take it later in the day which helped.

I have a pretty good regimen for hunger suppression for at least part of the day now I think. I am going to try the glucomannan again tomorrow 20-30 minutes before a bigger meal and I'm also going to drink more water with it.

I also went to the bathroom 2-3 times today and I usually only go maybe once a day. The fiber must have helped.
 
I think Datbtrue uses it too! I really wanted to try it out but never got the chance
 
I honestly can not remember how much hoodia I took. I just know it was Now's brand. Maybe I did not take it long enough or not enough mg's...
 
3 grams is what my wife likes. Obviously, ECA works wonders for controlling appettite, but I really prefer sugar free metamucil about 15 minutes prior to a meal.....plus alot of water and I swear it controls hunger. Fiber has so many added benefits.
