Just wondeirng if you guys had anything other that 800mg motrin ever 6hrs to help with pain from a car wreck?

dumbshit ran a red light and I got hit yesterday , took it on the passenger side but got tossed around pretty hard between my arm rest and seatbelt. I'm sore as shit today , no way i'm gonna weight train for a few days , shit cardio is hard.
I've got a buddy that got me into the local training center , did some whirl pool time this am , 10 min ice bath 10 min hot , been rubbing down with absorbine gel.

I thought I read one time that cherry juice was supposed to be good for reducing muscle fatigue?
 
HEAT PACKS OR HOT TOWELS ON YOUR SORE SPOTS THEN COLD PACKS OR ICE.
30 MIN OF EACH. THATS WHAT CHIROPRACTOR DID WITH ME.
 
Gotta agree bro. use the heat and ice off and on every 30mins. w/ the ibuprofen. You might need to go see a chiropractor for an alignment. If the pain is bad, not that I promote this, but you could ask your primary to call you in some vicoprofen which is just a mix of hydrocodone and ibuprofen. That will definitely help with the pain and any inflammation. Pax.

I have some pain killers here , the pain isin't that bad , I was just wanting to help speed the recovery.

I'm sore mostly my lower back and neck due to the side to side movement rather that getting hit from behind or running into somthing.

The guy was going about 40mph , texting and never even hit his brakes. He hit my truck behind the front door into the bed which jerked me to the passenger direction , the armrest and seatbelt kept me from going far but the whole top half of my body shot that direction as the shoulder belt doesnt work that for side to side movement

Like I said , I'm not worried about the pain as much as I am about getting back to where I can get into the gym. I've got a show in 7 weeks and a smaller "practice" show in 3 weeks!!!

Already got with y trainer and discussed that my reduced output will call for reduced cal intake and we have made those adjustments so I think I'll be ok , jst wanted to get back after it so i can have great conditioning for the second show
 
GS, becareful with the painkillers if you do use them as they will mask the pain from any injury you have which would be bruising to the muscles and or an injury to the spine. The painkillers may allow you to get back into the gym to train faster but you may be aggravating whatever injuries you have. Becareful and best of luck, just good to hear that you were not hurt badly or killed.
 
I don't like pain killers , they make me feel crappy and I had some issues with them years and years ago , so unless I'm seriously hurting I don't use them , for the most part motrin and a little teeth gritting will get me through it.

I'm just wanting to get back to decient training , at least where i can do my cardio , only could manage bout 20 min at a fast walk on the treadmill before my lower back got realy tight.

I guess I'll just keep hydrated , keep the warm compresses for movment and cold compresses for reducing the swelling , maybe get a massage mid week
