march 17 some of the best players that have played are having to go in front of congress and anwer questions on steriod use. this is so wrong and out of control that i just had to post this and say whats on my mind about the situation. firstly, as a professional athlete you are subjected to publuc scrutiny and that just part of any public figures life. but you dont have to answer questions reguarding your personal life and for the powers that be think they do and its wrong and has nothing to do about sports. what are they going to do when they get their answers? erase athletic history? bulshit.
this is much deeper than what it appears. pro sports is a dream for most and if that dream is taken down a notch by some big mouth saying he broke all his records in sports cause of drugs than that dream is not worth as much to average joe anymore. then they want to know why and get mad and want answers. the players have a 5th amendment right to not answer any questions and i think they should exercise that right and tell the old farts and theives in congress to shove it up their asses.
