Blood donation ( Platelet)

So my Platelets seems to be around 17-18 and Im trying to get them down. I've been told the best way to reduce them is to donate the platelets, and i can do this every 2 weeks. Based on you guys experience, How often did you donate platelets to get your numbers to normal which I believe is under 15? Thanks.

Did your doctor offer up any advice as to why the number is above normal? The cause is what I would be most concerned about. Im not familiar with steroids or other PEDs causing an increase in platelets.

It been up with gear use. It could be other causes but either way i have to get rid of it and bring down the number.
