So I have the omron hem 780 and the cuff fits me fine(barely). But my good friend and training partner has close to 20 in arms and he needs a bigger cuff. I'm in the process of trying to get him to be safer and monitor this type of thing and he has agreed to buy a larger cuff for himself. I've looked around and have had trouble finding an extra large cuff that works with my machine. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor with A.P.S.
(HEM-670ITN)

Omron's HEM-670ITN not only features A.P.S. technology which confirms monitor is at heart level for more accurate readings, and also includes Omron Health Management Software (Bi-Link) which will help track your progress to better blood pressure health. This wrist monitor detects advanced diagnostics including morning hypertension and irregular heartbeat. Monitoring these important factors with Omron's software allows you to share valuable information with your physician.

The HEM-670ITN has been tested, evaluated and proven to meet the rigorous safety and accuracy standards set by independent organizations.

Wrist blood pressure monitors are portable, accurate and simple to use. They provide a convenient choice for those who want a second unit for away from home or who have trouble placing a cuff on their arm.

And yes these are accurate as they are used in nursing homes and hospitals everywhere and work great on people with large arms (ie..bodybuilders) and people with medical conditions that require another means of checking blood pressure beside the arm (ie..double Mastectomy).......I hope this helps you out......:D

Thanks for the advice guys. I think maybe they might not make an xl one for my model.

I have this one. Do yall think the wrist cuffs are close to as accurate as arm cuffs?

Happens to me all the time. The nurse walks over to me with the usual cuff and when I pull my sleeve up, she always turns around and gets the bigger one. Makes me giggle. I was at the dentist a few monthes ago and they dident have one large enough for me so they used one of the wrist ones.

Cool...I think I have a case of white coat syndrome...every time I take it at the doc, my systolic is always around 130-135 and dia at 75-80. At home, it averages at 115-120 over 65-75

As i work in a hospital as a CNA i take vitals all of the time........your's is in the proper range but it is also based on ones' size and age as well. It can also be nerves and/or the walk into the doc's office. Next time you go to the doc's, and you are waiting to be seen try breathing deeply and relaxing before going in and when they place the cuff on continue to breath and this will lower your pulse and you blood pressure unless you have high blood pressure.........................Peace!
