For the last couple of years my hct have been borderline high, and only
Went down at the short times that i was completely off.
Last checkup from this week was the higest at 52.8 and was after about a year of
Not going over 200 mg aweek.

I spent alot of time this week going through every thread here about the subject
And other sources.
One idea that came to me and wasnt mentioned anywhere was calcium.
I always knew that calcium interferes with iron absorption. What if,
For every iron containing meal one would add calcium?
Overtime logic says, much less iron will be absorbed and be available for red cell
Production.
Anyone tried that?
I'll appriciate opinions as well.

Negligible and your a man. How exactly are you losing your iron? Its not like you have menses each month we only lose a little bit from GI processes.

And for fun lets just say that did make a difference initially our bodies would compensate by increasing our bodies ability to absorb iron if we needed it ad mobilize our bodies iron stores.

HCT of 52 is not that high. If your concerned donate some blood which is always good as you helping other people as well. Or you could be retarded like me this last weekend and cut you head on a balcony ...pretty sure that dropped my hct a few points lol

Donating is a problem where i'm from.
I have crohn's and you cant donate with chronic illnes. My doc sais i'm not high enough
For prescribed phlebotomy, so i'm looking for an6 advantage
