Good morning mates. I have a friend that needs some help. I told him the guys here are pretty knowledgeable and friendly so I am going to repost the msg he sent me.

Any input or advice is appreciated.

RBC 7.27 Range 4.50-6.00 X E12/L
Hematocrit 0.548 Range .400 - 0.500 L/L

Looking for advice on RBC/Hematocrit control
I have been running solo deca cycles for some time now, no test, no EQ or other compounds, occasionally GH.

I had been running 200mg Deca EOD from November 21 - Jan 3 for total of about 6 weeks. My last shot was 200mg on Jan 3.
This is my bloodwork from Jan 22.

I have an inherited blood condition called thalessemia which is the cause of my MCV, MCH, and RDW being off all my life, those numbers are of no concern. I have never seen my RBC or hematocrit this high, but I have also never done bloodwork this close to coming off a cycle so it could be a bit skewed. I know red blood cell lifespan is around 120 days, but I absolutely don’t want to go that long without jumping back on again.
It has been a while since I donated and that is a temporary fix, what can I do to keep this under control? Regular bimonthly donations? Is it even a concern?

I intentionally elevated my hematocrit to 52-54 for performance metrics. This is non issue IF your hydration/sodium/micronutrient intake is properly elevated.

Now another question is deca cycles for 6 weeks? What’s going on here man?

Mine hangs around 52… Been that way for a long time now. I’ve never noticed anything negative from this.

I’d like to hear the reason for Deca only too? Plus at 6 weeks it’s finally built up enough in your body and then you just drop it…

Cage

I donate via plasmapheresis but they won't let me if my RBC is too high as it clogs the membranes then I just donate whole blood. I can donate via plasmapheresis every two weeks or whole blood every 8. I have donated whole blood with one organization and 4 weeks later the PP to game the system. I take some baby aspirin too to help with stroke stuffs.

How did you come up with a deca only cycle?

He runs small deca cycles to protect his hair.

I don't know the ins and outs of his cycle history. But he was concerned about the hematocrit and rbc's so I figured I could post here.

Retest. Very well could be fragmented analyte lab analysis error.

This is the Taeiem Clark school of thought I believe.

Quite controversial.

I have no idea if this might have contributed to the current issue (more than a regular cycle) but it's worth noting this is quite an experimental approach. We don't really know as much about this approach as say a regular Test cycle.

I have never seen my RBC or hematocrit this high, but I have also never done bloodwork this close to coming off a cycle so it could be a bit skewed.

Here's the answer. I'm sure this isn't the first time his numbers have been elevated. Why doesn't he do blood work mid cycle or immediately after?

I’m going to guess your friend is running deca only because of his fear of testosterone and his thalessemia?

This is an extremely rare condition- how was this confirmed is my first question?

The second would be what does the rest of the blood work look like?

Additional markers I would run would be - copper, transferrin, a full iron panel, RBC magnesium, retinol, comprehensive metabolic panel and full hormone/endocrine panel.

As I’ve mentioned before it’s extremely hard to give input without knowing a full history on someone. And in cases where there is an active condition such as thalessemia, honestly nobody should or could give full input without a full history IMO.

All of that aside I personally would never run Deca as a standalone long term compound. It would be at the end of my list and personally would never do it or suggest it as your friend is just asking for major hormone imbalances that will take a minute to unwind given how hard deca shuts you down and stays in your system.

Just my opinion. Your friend should work with specialist on this.

Thalessemia is a different horse. Your red cells are shaped differently and oxygen exchange can be skewed as the life time of your red cells. Depending on the severity of your disease your red cells will lyse more easily making the average life span shorter. I'm surprised you can donate since your red cells are abnormal. If it were me I would not want high hct because your red cells are abnormal. I am thinking they will lyse more easily in capillary beds and organs when under higher density and pressures. Many Thalessemic patients have high iron so it might not be a bad idea to have a phlebotomy. On the bright side, you're not anemic. Hct of 54% for normal AAS users like me and others is not a big deal. 60% is where things can go a little sideways for us. I would just stay off and test again in 4 weeks. Make 54% your top and worth within that range. I take corrective action at 56%. That means o off for 1-2 months and then TRT for another bit.
